Irene’s death was confirmed by a spokesperson from the Greek culture ministry through an email and the cause of death was not revealed by any of the sources. She grew up in Athens and was one of the four daughters that her parents had. She entered the school of drama at the age of 12 and by the age of 18, she played the role of Electra and Lady Macbeth. Iren debuted in the movie with her role in a drama called Hamenoi Angeloi after which she appeared in 14 movies back to back in 1950. After that, she remained single and did not marry again. Irene was survived by her nephews the spokesperson for Greek culture said in statements.
