Boy In The Box Identified As Joseph Zarelli After 65 Years
Police from Philadelphia have revealed that the boy who passed away earlier in the 1950s is now finally getting recognized due to advancements in technology the officers were able to treat the guy rightly and they generated his pictures and also his DNA tests were taken out. The boy was earlier in 1950 buried but later police took out his body and his DNA tests were taken. In 1957 the boy was found on the side of the road where the boy was buried and also stuffed inside a wide box. Upon investigation, the police found that the boy was abused, and also brutally killed with several injuries on his body. The boy was later abandoned in a wooden box.

Police officers have said that the boy was stuffed inside a box and he was beaten to death. Now that there is an advancement in science and tech police added that they took help from the DNA tech, law enforcement, and also genealogical experts to identify the boy. The boy in the by finally has his identity and is now recognized as Joseph Augustus who was born on the 13th of January 1953. As time went on the Viocq society that helped the unknown missing murderers identify and also get justice, officers from this group passed away as well who were investigating this case. The cold murder case was unknown and also dragged on for 65 years now.

Police added that they earlier thought that the boy was from Hungary and might have entered the USA by mistake during the Hungarian revolution but it was not the case. Officer investigating this case added that they were searching for years for evidence and they referred to the boy as a boy in the box and his identity still remains unknown for years. The officer adds that the boy’s story of not having his own name and his existence as well as heartbreaking and also tragic for many people in Philadelphia. He mentions that the boy’s story was cold and tragic for many years now. But hopefully, he is now getting recognized. In 1998 the box was exhumed as his body was buried, later in 2019 again the boy has exhumed once again and his NDA tests were taken out. Officer Smith added that with the help of law enforcement the officers were able to derive a family tree and the birth year of the child as well. But now they revealed that the parents of the child are now deceased but they will not reveal the name out of respect. The officer also adds that the siblings of the child are alive and more information about them will be revealed if they seem it is necessary. The boy was tortured and drained out of the water as he was dehydrated and also lean when he was found dead.
