The spokesperson of police said in a statement on Tuesday the 5th of July that the woman who suffered the injuries on the bus because of the fire died in the hospital on Tuesday the 5th of July. After getting treated for over 15 days, the woman was unable to bear the pain and the injuries and passed away she suffered third-degree burns. It was said that the homicide officer was notified of the death of the woman. The man who committed the crime was arrested and is still in the custody. Despite trying and save the woman, she did not survive. The name of the woman is not revealed because of the law as the woman’s name will not be mentioned in the media.

Speaking about the man who killed the woman, Tenzin Norbu was the one who put fire on the bus after pouring fluid on the woman. According to the witnesses who were there at the time when the incident happened, the man firstly poured something liquidy on the woman and then he ran away after letting the whole bus on fire. Although the man was arrested later, the loss is now seen as the woman losing her life. Norbu is a 33-year-old man who lit the woman on fire because of pure hatred. Norbu was charged with an attempt to murder, assault with a weapon, common nuisance endangering lives and mischief over 5000 dollars for interfering with property and the safety and health of the public as well. According to the police, the charges of the death will soon be upgraded with the other charges laid on the criminal, as the woman died. The woman who died after suffering multiple injuries because of the fire was only 20 years old and after Norbu set her on fire, the TTC staff helped the woman, and the police were informed about the incident, she was transferred to the hospital immediately.
