Is Lisa LaFlamme Leaving CTV National News?
It is been rumored that Lisa is getting Blindsided on the news channel and she is getting removed from her position because of some internal issue. While Lisa in the post that she posted on Twitter seemed pretty emotional and she said that her getting replaced on the channel was really shocking and devastating for herself as she expected to work for a few more years with CTV. While the channel heads revealed that the decision was made because Lisa was working with the company for 30 years and through the years viewers’ habits are changing. Omar Scahedina who joined the channel in 2009 is all set to replace Lisa and he is getting the position of Chief anchor on the channel. Omar said in a statement that he is pleased and honored to follow the steps of Lisa who is an exemplary journalist and others like Llyod Robertson. He added that he will try hard and work his best to provide precise and fair news to the people of Canada. He added that he will work hard and continue fairness and integrity. Omar said that the connection that Canadians have along with CTV and the trust that they have for CTV is built on trusted journalism. Lisa posted a video on her Twitter page saying that she is devastated to get replaced but thankful for the support she got from the viewers. She said that she expected to work more but rational views and women getting replaced is a common thing. Lis said in the video that she is 58 now and she had a lot more work spirit and career ahead, she wanted to tell more stories and leave an impact on the daily lives of people. Lisa was replaced from her show with Omar and it was announced on the 29th of June 2022. While Lisa also said that she is thankful for the love and support that she got from her viewers and she is humbled by the faith and trust that people put in her head in terms of providing precise information. While many people think that Lisa getting a replacement from the show might be a result of the double standards that women face in the work field. While many people were questioning her when Lisa decided to keep her hair grow gray and not color it. While in the mean world that runs through ages and attraction and double standards many people like Lisa get replaced without any particular reason and that is the reason why many people are angry over the issue that Lisa is getting replaced. Lisa’s who was running smooth and her getting repacked all of a sudden without any precise reason is what is making difference here.
