As per the reports, the Sweetwater police gathered at the place or at the mall when the shooting was reported and the police after getting reports stated that the mall was not in danger. As soon as the police thought that there was no danger to the public they announced the lockdown opening and all the bans which were put outside the mall were opened. Later the police announced clearly that there was no shooting held and that there might be some miss understanding that caused havoc and also people rushed for their lives.

Police have also reported that they heard many calls from people at the mall saying that there was a shooting held at the mall. Apart from that, the police also tweeted about this issue online and they have said to the public openly that there is nothing to worry about as there was no shooting at the mall and it is safe for them now. The shooting or the fake shooting news was alerted on the 6th of November 2022, Sunday, and as it was the weekend there were many people in the mall. The police checked up on each and every person for firearms but no one had any guns and security was also alerted as well. It was later reported that someone being loud was misheard as a shooting.

One of the netizens wrote that she is concerned for the family as they were there at the mall, while another replied and said there is nothing to worry about as it was just a fake call and the police had taken the whole situation under control.
