Milam went barging into his house and kidnapped him up. They were carrying an illegal weapon and they also had a metal bat on which barbed wire was wrapped.

He was beaten to death and it completely terrorized the black community. There were many protest but at that time it was of no use because equality was there. Carolyn Bryant Case Timeline
Mamie Till Bradley and Emmett lived together in a busy neighborhood in Chicago’s South Side, near distant relatives.
